Annual CWL Luncheon: A Day of Joy and Fellowship! 💝
On 24 June 2026, the Catholic Women’s League of St. Mary’s and St. Ann’s Parish, Hagersville celebrated a wonderful afternoon of friendship and faith! 🎉 Forty-one members and guests gathered at Big Pete’s Restaurant in the beautiful Monthill Golf Club for an afternoon filled with laughter, delicious food, and warm community spirit.
A Blessed Gathering
The luncheon began with a heartfelt blessing from Fr Stephen Lobo OCD, who led everyone in Grace. Marie Peart, President of the CWL, warmly welcomed all the ladies, setting a joyful tone for the celebration. We were delighted to have Fr Jerome Mascarehas, Pastor of St. Patrick’s, Caledonia, join us for this special occasion. ✨
Wonderful Moments
Every guest enjoyed choosing from three delicious meal options, and the room was filled with smiles and lively conversations throughout the afternoon. 😊
Excitement & Memories
After lunch, the fun continued with a gift draw featuring three lovely prizes. 🎁 To mark the happy occasion, Fr Stephen Lobo OCD captured a beautiful group photograph that everyone will cherish. 📸
This is what the Catholic Women’s League is all about: faith, friendship, and fellowship.
If you would like to join the CWL, you are most welcome! Please contact the parish office or Marie Peart, President of the CWL. 💕
My only problem with the luncheon was the fact there were no golf carts to get us from the parking lot out on the Sahara Desert to our dinner location. Lol lol!
Actually, that worked in my favour, as it allowed me to work off several pounds before I dove into the delicious desserts. The pickerel was awesome, just like I knew it would be.
